In my work, I always create space for those I sit with to ask questions about me, as we spend considerable time together, exchanging stories that relate deeply to your life, I believe it’s only fair to share meaningful aspects of my own experience when it feels relevant to you and of course appropriate. This openness fosters trust and mutual understanding, enriching the therapeutic relationship in a way that honors the shared journey we undertake. For now, I will share a few things that hit the surface.
I am a wife and I am a mother to my teenage boys and to my not so little baby girl. We are busy, loud and far from perfect, and I am ok with that. I love to spend time at camp during the summer, but my favorite time spent is finding a hidden gem along the coastal trail to set up camp, for as many days as life allows. Winters are spent at Searchmont- where I am the chauffeur and I occasionally make my way up the hill and face some of my own fears.
I love moments of pause and opportunities for boredom. This is where my creative brain kicks in.
I love a good acoustic country song and I live for punk/rock music festivals - even though they don’t happen as often as I would like. Music has been part of who I am since the day I was born. The genre of the day changes with what I need in that moment - I’m grateful for that gift.
I love an XL latte with an unhealthy amount of espresso- we are working on this :)
Most importantly, helping others is who I am at my core. Whether it’s family, Friends or strangers passing by, making someone’s day always makes mine.
